Sell It ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.
The app may collect the following types of data depending on the features you use:
eBay Account Data: When you connect your eBay account, we receive an OAuth access token that allows us to interact with the eBay API on your behalf. We do not store your eBay password.
Photo/Image Data: When you use the AI Smart Photos feature, your item photos are sent to our server for AI analysis (see "Third-Party AI Service" section below).
Item Listing Data: Item details (titles, descriptions, categories, prices) that you create are stored locally on your device.
Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
Create and manage eBay listings on your behalf. Retrieve your selling information from eBay. Provide AI-powered listing suggestions via the Smart Photos feature.
The app includes an optional "AI Smart Photos" feature that uses a third-party AI service to analyze your item photos and automatically generate listing details (title, description, category, and suggested price).
What data is sent: When you enable AI Smart Photos and take a photo of an item, the photo image data is sent to our server at sell-it-api.netlify.app.
Who receives the data: Our server forwards the image to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) for analysis via their API.
How the data is used: The image is analyzed by OpenAI's AI model to generate a product title, description, category, and suggested price. The analysis results are returned to the app.
Data retention: Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our server or by OpenAI beyond what is needed to process the request. OpenAI's data usage policy for API users states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
User consent: The AI Smart Photos feature is disabled by default. Before enabling it, you will be shown a consent dialog explaining what data is sent and to whom. You must explicitly agree before any photo data is shared. You can disable the feature at any time in the app settings.

The app integrates with eBay's API services. When you connect your eBay account, eBay's own privacy policy applies to the data they handle. We encourage you to review eBay's Privacy Policy.
Your eBay authentication token and all item listing data are stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain any server-side database of user data or account information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties except as described in this policy (eBay API for listing management, and OpenAI for the optional AI Smart Photos feature). Both third-party services provide protections for your data as described in their respective privacy policies.
You can disconnect your eBay account at any time from within the app settings. This will remove your access token from the device. You can also revoke the app's access from your eBay account settings. Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data.
Our app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
